Know Your Customer (KYC) verification is how BitLease confirms who you are. It is a regulatory requirement, not an optional step, and it directly determines what you can do on the platform — including your daily limits for deposits and withdrawals of fiat and digital assets.

The Four KYC Levels

BitLease verification is structured as four progressive levels. Each level builds on the one before it, and each level unlocks higher daily limits.

1. Activated

This is your starting level immediately after creating your BitLease account and confirming your email. At this level, your access is limited — you can explore the platform, but deposits and withdrawals are restricted.

2. Identified

Reached by completing the Become Identified flow: submitting your personal details, answering security questions, and securing your recovery phrase. This level unlocks meaningfully higher daily limits and is required before you can open most contracts.

3. Verified

A deeper level of verification, typically involving document-based identity confirmation. This level raises your limits further and is intended for users with higher transaction needs.

4. Certified

The highest verification level, designed for users and institutions operating at scale. This level carries the highest available limits on the platform.
