Document: OWN Back Framework — The fee-rebate utility of OWN

Classification: BitLease · OWN token utility

1. Overview

OWN Back is the fee-rebate utility of the OWN token. When an eligible user pays platform fees with OWN, a portion of those fees is returned to the user in OWN. It is designed to lower the effective cost of using the BitLease platform and to give OWN a practical, everyday use.

OWN Back is a commercial utility benefit; it is not yield, interest, revenue share, cashback guaranteed in fiat, or a return earned by holding OWN. It is earned only by actively paying eligible fees.

2. How It Works

When a user pays an eligible platform fee using OWN, the platform returns a defined percentage of that fee to the user in OWN. The current rebate rate is 5% of the eligible fee, credited to the user's platform balance.

The rebate is drawn from the BitLease Utility Reserve, the 40% allocation set aside to back the token's utilities. Because the rebate is a small percentage of fees, which are themselves a small percentage of contract value, the OWN used for rebates is modest relative to the Reserve's 400,000,000-unit size.

3. Eligibility and Rules

OWN Back applies to eligible fees and eligible users as defined by platform policy and is subject to identity, jurisdiction, and account status. The rebate rate, the fees to which it applies, and any caps or conditions are set out in the platform's fee schedule and may be adjusted from time to time.

4. Funding and Limits

OWN Back is funded from the Utility Reserve, which is intended to be cash-funded from the sale of BitLease's 40% allocation, with OWN drawn under the Utility Reserve policy. Where reserve availability, risk controls, or platform policy requires it, BitLease may cap, reduce, suspend, or modify OWN Back prospectively. No rebate is guaranteed, and the availability of OWN Back does not create any entitlement, expectation of profit, or claim against BitLease.

5. Legal Note

OWN Back is a commercial rebate on platform fees, provided as a utility of OWN within the BitLease platform. It is not yield, interest, revenue share, a deposit, or an investment return, and it creates no expectation of profit. It depends on the platform remaining active and may be changed prospectively. This framework operates under, and is subject to, the OWN Token Terms & Conditions and the other Governing Documents.
