Understanding Your LTO Position
Once you activate a Lease-to-Own contract on BitLease, you can track and manage every detail of your ownership journey from the Owning section. This is your central view for monitoring leased assets, reviewing contract progress, making payments, and understanding your obligations at every stage.
This article walks you through the Owning page and explains what each element means, so you always know where you stand.
Accessing the Owning Page
Log in to your BitLease account.
Click Owning in the top navigation bar.
The Owning page loads, displaying your full portfolio of LTO contracts.
Understanding the Owning Dashboard
The top section of the Owning page gives you a high-level financial snapshot of your entire LTO portfolio.
Total Leased Assets — The combined current market value of all digital assets held under your LTO contracts. This figure updates with live market prices.
24h Change — The dollar change in your total leased asset value over the past 24 hours.

Total Obligations — The total remaining amount you owe across all active contracts. This includes your financed amounts, finance fees, and insurance fees.
Net Assets — The difference between your Total Leased Assets value and your Total Obligations. A negative number means your remaining obligations currently exceed the market value of your leased assets. This does not affect your contract. LTO is payment-based, not price-based, so market fluctuations never trigger liquidation or change your payment schedule.
Next Due (Total) — The date of your next upcoming installment and the amount due. This keeps your nearest payment deadline visible at all times.

Action Buttons — From the top of the page, you have quick access to: Add Funds, Send, Transfer, and LTO Builder. These allow you to fund your wallet, move assets, or start a new LTO contract without navigating away.
Viewing Your Leased Assets
Below the dashboard summary, the Leased Assets section displays your individual LTO contracts. You can filter between three tabs.
Live — Active contracts currently in their repayment period. Each card shows the asset name, contract ID, current market value, profit and loss (PnL), quantity held, and the number of active contracts.
Pending — Contracts that have been created but not yet activated. New contracts appear here before activation. The page will display "No Pending Contracts" with the message "New contracts will appear here before activation" if nothing is pending.
Closed — Contracts that have reached full ownership. Assets marked with an OWNED badge have completed all installments and the full on-chain ownership has been transferred to you. The Journey Milestones progress bar shows 100.0% for fully settled contracts.

Filtering tools let you sort contracts by asset (BTC, SOL), installment frequency, or performance.
Reading a Live Contract Card
Each active contract card provides key information at a glance.
Asset and Contract ID — The asset type (e.g., SOL, BTC) and the unique contract reference number (e.g., CON-KY6KHNK).
Current Value — The live market value of the leased asset.
PnL — Your current profit or loss on the leased asset, shown in both dollar amount and percentage.
Quantity — The exact amount of the digital asset held under the contract (e.g., 0.2505 SOL, 10 BTC).
Journey Milestones — A progress bar showing what percentage of your ownership journey is complete. This reflects how much of your total obligation has been paid.
Next Payment — The dollar amount of your next installment.
Due Date — When your next installment is due.
Remaining Installments — How many payments are left before full ownership.

Contract Actions
Each live contract card offers three actions.
Settle Now — Triggers Full Settlement. You can repay the remaining debt at any time to complete your contract immediately. Upon full repayment, your asset transitions from Locked to Free, and full on-chain ownership transfers to you. Based on the Institutional Product Framework, you may also use the locked asset's own value toward repayment.
Buy Out — Enables you to close the contract using the asset's current economic value. The system sells a portion (or all) of the leased asset, deducts your outstanding debt, and returns any surplus to you as Free assets in your LTO Wallet. This is what the framework calls Economic Value Settlement (EVS).
Details — Opens the full contract view with your complete financial breakdown, payment history, and contract terms.
Understanding Ownership Stages
Your contract moves through defined stages during its lifecycle.
Active (Live) — Your contract is active. Installments are being paid on schedule. You have full Economic Utility from day one, meaning you benefit from any price appreciation, even though the asset remains locked and non-transferable during the contract.
Owned (Closed) — All installments are complete. The asset is fully yours. Ownership has been transferred on-chain, and the asset is now Free. You can transfer it to your Funding Wallet for withdrawal, or keep it in your LTO Wallet.
Key Points to Remember
Installments are paid from your LTO Wallet. If your LTO Wallet does not have sufficient balance, you need to transfer funds from your Funding Wallet. The system does not automatically deduct from your Funding Wallet.
Market price does not affect your contract. Your debt is fixed. Whether the asset's price rises or falls, your installment amount and schedule remain the same. There is no liquidation based on price.
Penalties apply for late payments. If an installment is not paid on time, a 10% daily penalty is applied to the overdue amount. If the overdue installment remains unpaid for 10 consecutive days, the accumulated penalties result in the equivalent of two overdue installments, which triggers contract termination.
All contracts are verified by HyperHedge. As visible on the contract confirmation screen, every LTO deal carries the "Verified by HyperHedge Audit" badge, confirming that solvency conditions have been met before activation.
Insurance is required for every contract. Either Paid Insurance (a fixed upfront fee) or Deposit Guarantee (LTO Tokens locked and returned in full if all payments are made on time) is applied to every LTO.
