How to Manage Active LTO Contract

Last updated on April 13, 2026

After activating a Lease-to-Own contract on BitLease, you have full visibility and control over your ownership journey. You can pay installments, settle your contract early, use the Buyout feature, and review every detail of your deal. This article covers all of these actions step by step, so you always know how to manage your contract with confidence.

Where to Find Your Active Contracts

BitLease gives you two entry points for managing your LTO contracts:

  • Owning page

  • Assets page (LTO Wallet view).

Both lead to the same contract management actions, so you can use whichever is most convenient.

Owning Page — Click Owning in the top navigation bar. This displays all your active, pending, and closed contracts with a portfolio-level summary including Total Leased Assets, Total Obligations, Net Assets, and your Next Due date.

Assets Page (LTO Wallet) — Click Assets in the navigation bar, then select the LTO Wallet tab. This shows a table of every asset held in your LTO Wallet, including columns for Total, Transferable, Leased, and Obligation. From here you can also access the Pay, Convert, and Transfer actions directly.

How to Pay Installments

Installments are the core of your LTO contract. They are fixed, predictable, and paid exclusively from your LTO Wallet. The system does not automatically deduct funds from your Funding Wallet. If your LTO Wallet does not have enough balance, you need to transfer funds from your Funding Wallet first.

There are two ways to reach the Pay Installments page.

Option 1: From the Owning Page

  1. Go to Owning.

  2. Find the contract card you want to pay.

  3. Click Settle Now.

  4. The Pay Installments page opens with your contract pre-selected.

Option 2: From the Assets Page (LTO Wallet)

  1. Go to Assets and select the LTO Wallet tab.

  2. Click the Pay button in the action bar at the top.

  3. The Pay Installments page opens.

  4. Use the Select Contract dropdown to choose which contract you want to pay. The dropdown lists all your active contracts by their contract ID and asset quantity (e.g., CON-KY6KHNK (0.2505 SOL), CON-SJHKMQJ (10 BTC)).

Using the Pay Installments Page

Once on the Pay Installments page, you will see the following.

Secure Payment Gateway — Indicated in the top right corner, confirming the payment environment is secure.

Total Obligation — The total remaining amount owed on the selected contract.

Next Due — The date of your next upcoming installment.

Installments to Pay — A progress bar and counter showing how many installments have been paid and how many remain (e.g., "1 of 4"). You can click Hide List or expand the list to see all installments.

Installment List — Each installment is displayed with its unique Reference ID (e.g., INS-NSKXCHM), due date, and amount. The next due installment is highlighted.

Payment Source — Shown as LTO Wallet. Your available balance (e.g., USDT 35,305.64) is displayed below.

Total Selected — The total amount that will be deducted for the selected installment(s).

When ready, click Confirm Payment to complete the transaction.

How to Use Buyout

Buyout allows you to close your contract entirely by settling your remaining obligation. You choose how to pay: either from the leased asset's own value, or directly from your LTO Wallet balance. Based on the Institutional Product Framework, this is what BitLease calls Economic Value Settlement (EVS) when using the asset, or Early Full Settlement when paying from your wallet.

Step-by-Step

  1. Go to Owning.

  2. On the contract card, click Buyout (or from the Contract Details page, click the Buyout button at the bottom right).

  3. The Buyout LTO page loads, showing a Live Execution Environment indicator in the top right corner.

Understanding the Buyout Page

Select Contract — Your active contract is shown under Active Position, displaying the contract ID and asset quantity

Fair Market Value — The current live market value of your leased asset.

Settlement Obligation — The total remaining amount you need to pay to close the contract.

Payment Source — Set to From LTO Wallet. You have two settlement methods:

Via Asset — Liquidate a portion of the leased asset to cover your obligation. The platform shows exactly how much of the asset is required (e.g., "0.197 SOL Required"). The remaining asset value stays with you. As the description states: "Liquidate portion of asset to cover obligation. Keep remaining profit."

From LTO Wallet — Pay the full obligation directly from your LTO Wallet balance using USDT or other available funds. The description states: "Pay full obligation from LTO Wallet. Keep 100% of asset." Your available wallet balance is displayed below.

After selecting your preferred method, click Review Order to proceed to the confirmation screen.
