Understanding the Dual-Wallet System on BitLease

Last updated on April 13, 2026

BitLease is built around a dual-wallet architecture designed to support your structured path to digital asset ownership. Every account contains two distinct wallet spaces: the FUNDING Wallet and the LTO Wallet, each serving a specific purpose in your Lease-to-Own (LTO) journey.

The Structural Logic

Traditional platforms use one wallet for everything. This creates ambiguity. Which assets can you withdraw? Which are tied to open positions? Which are available for new contracts?

BitLease eliminates this confusion through separation.

FUNDING Wallet = Available capital
Everything here is liquid. Use it for deposits, withdrawals, conversions, and new contracts.

LTO Wallet = Contracted assets
Everything here relates to active ownership journeys. Assets are either leased in contracts or transferable after completion.

How This Protects You

Clear visibility: One glance tells you what you can access versus what's committed.

Contract security: Leased assets can't accidentally be withdrawn or converted during active contracts.

Payment clarity: Installments draw from specific wallet balances, ensuring contract funds stay organized.

Audit transparency: Clean separation between liquid holdings and structured ownership positions.

FUNDING Wallet — Your Starting Point

The FUNDING Wallet is where every user journey begins. It functions like a standard financial account. You use it to deposit, manage, and withdraw assets. All LTO contracts draw funds from the FUNDING Wallet. Once your down payment is confirmed, the relevant assets move into the LTO Wallet to begin the contract lifecycle.

What the FUNDING Wallet Supports

ADD FUNDS:

  • Fiat or stablecoin deposits (coming soon).

  • on-chain deposit

TRANSFER:

  • Transfer Free Assets from your LTO Wallet back to FUNDING.

  • Transfer Fiat From FUNDING to LTO Wallet.

SEND:

  • Send assets to external wallets (subject to AML/KYT compliance checks).

Internal Transfers (Coming Soon):

  • Send assets to other BitLease users via BL Pay.

You can access all wallet functions either directly from the ASSETS Overview or by selecting each coin individually for more detailed controls.

How to Access FUNDING Wallet

Navigate to Assets in the main menu. The default view shows the Overview.

Or click Wallet & Funds Management in the Help Center categories for detailed guides on:

LTO Wallet — Your Contract Space

The LTO Wallet is activated when you open your first LTO contract. It does not exist as an active space until a contract requires it. Inside the LTO Wallet, your assets exist in one of two states: Locked Assets or Free Assets.

What the LTO Wallet Supports

The LTO Wallet serves as your contract management space. Understanding what operations are available, and which are restricted ensures proper asset management throughout your ownership journey.

NEW LTO

  • Initiate a new Lease-to-Own contract using available assets.

CONVERT

  • Exchange one cryptocurrency for another within the platform.

Note: Only transferable assets in LTO Wallet can be converted. Leased assets cannot be converted until contract completion.

PAY

  • Process scheduled or advance payments toward active LTO contracts.

Payment Sources (Priority Order):

  1. USDT in LTO Wallet

  2. USDC in LTO Wallet

  3. USDT in FUNDING Wallet

  4. USDC in FUNDING Wallet

Capabilities:

  • Pay the single upcoming installment

  • Pay multiple installments in advance

  • Settle the entire remaining balance (early completion)

TRANSFER

  • Move assets between LTO Wallet and FUNDING Wallet.

FROM LTO Wallet TO FUNDING Wallet:

  • Only transferable assets can move

  • Leased assets cannot be transferred until contract completion

  • Common use: Moving completed contract assets to FUNDING for withdrawal
