How to Verify your Identity (KYC Ptocess)

Complete your identity verification to unlock full platform access.
BitLease requires identity verification to comply with financial regulations and ensure the security of your account. Without completing this process, you won’t be able to deposit funds, create LTO contracts, or withdraw assets. To get started, go to Profile and click on Verification.

All information you provide is encrypted and securely stored for verification purposes only.

What You’ll Need

Before beginning the verification process, make sure you have the following:

• Government-Issued Photo ID
  A valid passport, national ID card, or driver’s license (must not be expired).

• Proof of Address (issued within the last 3 months)
  Examples include a utility bill, bank statement, or government correspondence showing your name and current address.

Personal Information
Your legal name, date of birth, residential address, and tax identification number (if required in your country).

Step 1: Identity Verification

Enter your legal first name, last name, and date of birth exactly as they appear on your government-issued ID. Any mismatch may cause delays.

Step 2: Select Document Type

Choose the type of document you’ll use for verification (e.g., passport, ID card, or driver’s license).

Step 3: Upload Documents

Upload clear images of the front and back of your document. After submission, you’ll see a Pending Review message. The verification team will review your documents within 24-48 hours, and you’ll receive an email notification once the process is complete.

Step 4: Address Verification

Required Fields:

• Address Line 1: Enter your primary residential address (street number and name).

  • Must match the address on your proof of address document.

• City: Enter the city where you reside.

• State/Province: Enter your state, province, or emirate. Examples:

  • Dubai (UAE)

  • California (USA)

  • Ontario (Canada)

  • Bavaria (Germany)

• Postal Code: Enter your area’s postal or ZIP code. Formats vary by country:

  • USA: 5 digits (e.g., 90210) or 9 digits (e.g., 90210-1234).

  • UK: Format like SW1A 1AA.

  • UAE: May not use postal codes (leave blank or follow instructions).

  • Canada: Format like M5H 2N2.

• Country: Select your country of residence.
  

Step 5: Upload Proof of Address

After completing the required fields, click Next and upload a document that verifies your address. Acceptable documents include a recent utility bill, bank statement, or government letter (dated within the last 3 months).

Verification Timeline

Most verifications are completed within 1-2 business days. However, complex cases or high submission volumes may extend the response time to 72 hours. You can check your verification status at any time in the Profile section of your account.

Common Rejection Reasons

To avoid delays, ensure the following:

• Blurry Photos: Retake photos in good lighting with a steady hand.

• Information Mismatch: Ensure the name and address on your form match your documents exactly.

• Expired Documents: Use a valid, unexpired ID and proof of address issued within the last 90 days.

• Poor Quality: Avoid glare, shadows, or cut-off corners. Ensure all text is fully readable.

After Approval

Once your verification is approved, you’ll gain full access to BitLease features, including the ability to deposit funds, create LTO contracts, and withdraw assets. Your account’s security status will also be upgraded.
